Why do I have to pay for cPanel on my VPS?

This is a question we often receive for people migrating from a shared server to a VPS (private server).

CPanel, is a software of its own supplied and supported by its own company. In order to use this software, a license
must be purchased for each server it is on. In a shared (basic or business hosting) environment, there are many people
on one server, so everyone splits a tiny piece of the cost.

When you move to a VPS, you have your own server, and therefore must pay for the license on your own.
We simplify this by facilitating license and software setup easily through our client area and during checkout.

If you are a very technical user, and wish to run a lightweight environment, we do offer Virtualmin and have a guide on it located HERE
